Coming to a chapter near you!
We hit the road every other summer before the Texas Legislative Session starts to visit chapters of The Arc of Texas across the state. It’s a chance to visit with staff and volunteers of our local chapters, meet others in the disability community, learn about The Arc of Texas’ public policy pillars, and get advocacy tips to help influence public policies affecting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Have a Heart for The Arc Day, Feb. 14
Participate in Your Area
This annual statewide advocacy event is a fun opportunity to highlight the issues facing Texans with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and their families. Using our talking points and printable policy priorities, tell your state legislators and/or candidates running in your district to “Have a Heart for The Arc” to protect the human rights of their constituents with IDD!
