Ginger Mayeaux has years of experience working with self-advocates, families, and other stakeholders on advocacy and systems change. She has a Master’s of Science in Social Work and completed the basic and advanced Midwest Academy on Community Organizing trainings. Ginger creates public education and awareness materials and conducts training on policy issues and effective advocacy strategy.
She collaborates with diverse partners and works with the Texas legislature and state agency staff to promote The Arc of Texas’ priorities. She assists local chapters and communities to organize around issues they choose and provides advocacy support for Texans with I/DD, their families, and other stakeholders, so they can speak out for themselves.
