The Arc of Texas invites you to join us on Thursday, November 2nd at 6 p.m. at The Driskill Hotel in Austin, Texas for the annual Leadership & Legacy Awards Dinner. We will be honoring leaders in the state of Texas who champion the rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As is our tradition, recognition will be given in the following categories:
Representative John Raney is a true advocate for Texans with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). He diligently fought during this past 85th Legislative Session to advance policies that improve employment outcomes for people with disabilities and transitioned state programs away from paying Texans with I/DD less than minimum wage. We are excited to have Rep. Raney as a partner in ensuring that people with disabilities can break the cycle of poverty and lead independent, fulfilling lives.
