Would you, your company, apartment complex or team like to host a GREEN DAY? Please contact Rebecca Lucas or Amy Merida for more information.
What is a Green Day? A green day is when a group of people come together to promote and manage a recycling day. They encourage all their family, friends and colleagues to contribute items from our "Items We Accept" list. These contributions will go directly towards supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

The Arc of Texas went into partnership with Thrift Town in 1975 to create our Household Recycling Program. The Arc of Texas raises money by selling these recycled items to Thrift Town, a for-profit thrift store. Our partnership with Thrift Town has generated millions of dollars for the programs and services of The Arc of Texas and our local affiliated chapters. Currently, this program is responsible for bringing in approximately a third of our operating budget. |
