2011 Leadership Award

On March 31, 2011 The Arc of Texas honored Senator Kirk Watson with its prestigious Leadership Award for his unwavering commitment to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The evening took place at the Austin Club in downtown Austin, Texas. Speaker of the House Gib Lewis served as Master of Ceremonies and very thoughtful remarks were given by Mike Bright, Executive Director of The Arc of Texas and Gerard Jimenez, volunteer, parent and advocate.
The event was a complete success raising funds for services and supports for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Arc of Texas would like to thank Centerpoint Energy and EZCorp., Inc. for being among its top contributors. For a complete list of donors below.
