Amy, who serves as The Arc of Texas' lead lobbyist, works with members of the legislature and state agency staff to improve policies and programs for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Amy works closely with volunteers to ensure that individuals with disabilities and their families can share their personal stories with decision-makers at the local, state, and national levels. She also provides training on legislative advocacy and health and human services enterprise systems issues.

Ginger establishes positive working relationships with The Arc of Texas staff and volunteers to assist them in understanding and promoting full participation in the community for persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities. In addition, she assists in issue development; supports and empowers volunteers to participate in advocacy at the local, state, and federal levels; provides research on issues effecting the IDD population; represents The Arc of Texas at meetings hearings and visits with legislative and agency leaders or staff. Ginger aslo works will allied organizations and coalitions to promote collaboration on high priority issues.

Kari is the advocacy coordinator of Project MOVE, a legislative advocacy grant funded by the Texas Council on Developmental Disabilities. Project MOVE travels throughout the state and aims to mobilize and organize communities to become empowered and promote systems change. The Household Recycling Manager directs and coordinates our Household Recycling Program. They maintain a consistent and uninterrupted supply of donations through the maintenance of a household recycling and pick-up program that provides the best possible service to donors with maximum utilization of labor and equipment.

Household Recycling Supervisors
The Household Recycling Supervisors direct and coordinate our Household Recycling Programs in Austin, Arlington, Dallas, Fort Worth and San Antonio areas.  They maintain a consistent and uninterrupted supply of donations through the maintenance of a household recycling and pickup program that provides the best possible service to donors with maximum utilization of labor and equipment.

Master Pooled Trust

Haley manages The Arc of Texas Master Pooled Trust, a trust fund that provides people with disabilities an ongoing source of money for supplemental wants and needs. Haley is responsible for assisting families in establishing trust accounts, keeping up with current Medicaid regulations, approving and reporting trust disbursements, communicating with attorneys, judges and the bank about trust issues and educating local Arc chapters and other interested groups about the benefits of the trust.

Texas Microboard Collaboration

Amy is the Statewide Coordinator for Texas Microboard Collaboration. Amy partners with people across the State to educate them on the Microboard program, providing training, technical assistance and program support. 

Family Support Services

Rona is an attorney who oversees The Arc of Texas grant projects and family support services including The Arc of Texas Master Pooled Trust, the Inclusion Works project and Information and Referral. She supports the Texas Advocates board, conference and Peer to Peer Grant. She developed and updates the It's a New IDEA manual, provides training on IDEA and also works on education policy issues with the Texas Education Agency and the legislature.

Shaun is the Project Coordinator for Self-Advocate Voices Engaged, a Texas Advocates grant to teach self-advocacy and self-determination to residents of the Austin and San Antonio State-Supported Living Centers, the Rio Grand State Center and self-advocates in those communities. He also supports the Texas Advocates to meet their goals and objectives.
