HOUSTON: COMMUNITY ADVOCATE, PART-TIME
For non-profit organization. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: coalition building, organizing monthly meetings & events, and initial trainings, recruiting & mobilizing local volunteers to educate policy makers and impact public policy issues. Applicant must be a self-starter must be proficient in MS Office and have the ability to work with volunteers and staff. Legislative and/or systems advocacy experience a plus. $12.50/hour for 15 hours per week. Minimal in-state travel required. AUSTIN: LEAD DRIVER
Lead Driver needed for The Arc of Texas. Responsibilities include route scheduling, customer service, supervising a 4 driver crew, answering phones. Must be able to drive a 16' box truck, lift 50lbs freq & up to 100lbs w/help, have strong map & basic computer skills. Must have valid TXDL & pass criminal background check, physical, & drug screen.
