JUNE

- Draft of next year’s Operational Plan is presented for Board consideration
- Prior year’s Audit is presented to the Finance and Operations Committee and Board by the C.P.A.
- Board considers business items relating to the Annual Meeting of The Arc of the United States
- Board designates delegates to The Arc of the United States Annual Meeting
- The Executive Committee conducts annual performance evaluation of the Executive Director and presents results to the Board of Directors

OCTOBER

- 19-21, Camp for All - The Arc of Texas Family Retreat and Annual Meeting

Priority Activities:
- Staff develops draft operational and capital budget for Finance and Operations Committee review
NOVEMBER
Dates and Deadlines:
- Local chapters (with annual income exceeding $25,000) with a July-to-June fiscal year must submit IRS 990 form (or request an extension) by November 15
- Thanksgiving holiday – Office Closed (Thanksgiving day and following day)
Priority Activities:
- Finance and Operations Committee reviews staff budget proposal and adopts recommendations to the Board for operational and capital budgets
- Call to meeting for the December Board of Directors Meeting
- December Board meeting packet is distributed 10 days prior to the meeting
DECEMBER
Meetings:
- 7-8, Austin – The Arc of Texas Board of Directors Meeting
Dates and Deadlines:
- The Arc of Texas fiscal year ends Dec. 31st
- Dec 24-Jan 1 -Winter Holidays, office closed
Priority Activities:
- Board adopts operational plan, operational budget and capital budget for the following year
- Board members sign Board Agreements/Conflict of Interest Statements
- Board selects two members to serve with officers on the Executive Committee
